Moving company

Do NOT use Allied / Coleman. Moving is stressful. Don’t let your moving company add to your stress. For companies that tout all their years in business, you would think that someone would have learned something about customer service. No one cared. There was no communication or common courtesy. I’m still upset about my move, April 4 thru April 7.

Here are some examples.

- Whenever I called, I always felt that I was waking up the move coordinator.

- The agent did NOT tell me that anything left in a drawer would be packed, including prescription medicine.

- A High Value item, a cabinet from 1740 – 1780, was damaged, although well-marked both on their list and a post-it on the item itself. No one said anything.

- I received a dirty look every time I asked the delivery team to do something. Large, heavy boxes blocked the sink, oven, and some of the kitchen shelves. One of the deliverers chose to talk on his cell phone, hiding behind a wall of boxes he had created. Within thirty minutes of his arrival, he asked me TWICE if I lived alone. Creepy! What difference did this make to his doing his job? Pegs for shelves were never found.

- The bottom of a bookcase was destroyed. Again, no one said anything.

While these might seem insignificant, they are not. As noted previously, moving is stressful. Dealing with unpleasant and uncooperative people only makes everything associated with a move more so.

Local move from San Diego, CA to Norwalk, CA

Think Again!

This was a nightmare move. I hired a national company for a lot of money so that it would go smoothly. Well, they outsourced about 5 times and my stuff had been taken apart, a beautiful credenza broken. Coleman Allied was the worst experience moving ever. Did I mention they were almost two weeks late? On top of that, they put a piece of furniture back together upside down and now it is non functioning and I can't take the whole thing apart and try to put it back together again it is 6' and I do not have to tools. I am furious and they will not respond.

I am so stressed due to this experience.
